Ruby Joyce Johnson Boyack, 92, of Moore, Idaho, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

On February 2, 1932, she was born to Charles David Johnson Jr. and Ruby Josephine Johnson in Moore, Idaho.  Joyce was raised and received her education in Moore.  She attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho before she married her sweetheart, Ray Milton Boyack.  They were married on January 21, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  They made their home in Darlington, Idaho for about ten years before moving to Quincy, Washington, Chicago, Illinois, and Phoenix, Arizona before returning to the Lost River Valley.

Joyce worked as a Key Punch Operator, Accounting Clerk and as a Cook for the Lost River Senior Center.  She enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, painting, crocheting and cake decorating.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Surviving are her sons, Kerry (Gina), Kent (Laura), Richard (Diana) Steven and David; her daughters, Sheryl and Debra (Mike); 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Jr. and Ruby Johnson, her husband Ray, her sisters Helen Murdock and Betti Christensen and brother Howard Morgan.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Moore, Idaho Stake Center, 3100 N. 3350 West, Moore, Idaho.  A viewing will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in the Lost River Cemetery under the care of the Anderson Family Funeral Home.
