On August 27, 2021, Rhonda Magdalena Hines Christensen, loving wife and mother of four children, departed this life for her eternal home in heaven at the age of 66.
Rhonda was born March 14, 1955 in Mesa, AZ to Ronald William Hines and Janet Ann Sorenson Hines. Her early years were spent in California living the beach life. They relocated to Arizona where she graduated from Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona. There, Rhonda met her sweetheart, Joe at a church dance June of 1973. They were married April 18, 1974 in the Provo, Utah temple.
Rhonda had many passions and hobbies, approaching each with dedication and enthusiasm. She participated in the cub scouts; was involved in the LDS ward and district leaderships; taught dog obedience for the Happy Tails 4-H club; and worked as a beekeeper. She had a love of cake decorating, becoming a wedding cake decorator, and a cake instructor for Michael’s craft store. She was on the Sugar Art Fair Board for the Eastern Idaho State Fair where she worked with stars from the Food Network. She was a Life Financial Fitness Advisor with her spouse. They traveled the country together attending functions, sight-seeing, and meeting new friends. She later started a business with Tina Jensen creating custom cups which she loved.
Rhonda loved to travel. All she needed was gas money and a place to go! She cherished road trips with her family.
Rhonda is survived by her spouse Joseph Ervin Christensen; children JoMax Christensen, Mark Christensen, Kami Jensen, Ryan Christensen; her grandchildren Alec and Killian Christensen, Collin and Carlee Jensen; siblings Jill Ottney, Jody Burk, Ronnie Hines; and mother Janet Ann Hines. She was preceded in death by her father Ronald Hines.
Graveside service will be held at the Leslie cemetery on September 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Immediately following will be a luncheon and life tribute displays at Leslie Ward. Services are under the care of the Anderson Family Funeral Home.
