Sorry to hear about Paul, I remember my Dad Gene recalling fond memories of Salmon fishing with him. Sorry we missed the funeral, please let us know when the celebration of life will be. Sorry for your loss. With love, Mary, Scott, Holly, Paul, and Jason Nelson.
My deepest condolences. I worked for Paul for ten years in the Pocatello H&W office, where he was the Financial Services Director. I made it a point to see him every time I was in Poky after I moved to Las Vegas. We exchanged Christmas cards every year till this past Christmas. I have been trying to find out what happened to him and Sheran. Am heartbroken to find out they passed within a month of each other. So sad. Let me know when the Celebration of life will be.
I know Paul from our college days at Idaho State in Pocatello in the early 1960s. In fact, I stayed for a short time at the rented house he shared with his brother Henry, Larry Kennagh, and Gary Gould. The house was/is (if it is still standing) on the same street that marked the southern boundary of the college campus at that time.
After college days, we both were employed by the Idaho State Department of Public Assistance (now Health and Welfare). I worked in Elmore County (then headquartered in Ada County) while Paul was in eastern Idaho. By then, Carol and I were married, and in 1966, we moved to Orofino where I was the County Director for a year before we went to Seattle where I attended U of W on a stipend from the DPA. I maintained contact with Paul through 1970, when I worked through my DPA employment obligation. From then on, my contacts with Paul were sporadic, but we did occasionally connect. We enjoyed conversing with Paul about “the good old days” and really miss the pleasure of his company.
