Patsy Ann (Techick) Goodson

Patsy Ann (Techick) Goodson of Moore, ID returned to her heavenly home on November 21st 2018 of natural causes she truly was an angel here on this Earth she now rests in the peace only heaven can offer.

Patsy was born October 22nd, 1938 to John and Nora Techick in Arco, ID. She lived the ranch life with her parents and 3 siblings where she gained a love of raising Hereford cattle, hitching horse teams with her Dad, playing music and developed a love of cooking and feeding anyone and everyone. She attended school in Moore and Arco graduating from Butte County High School in 1956. She loved playing softball and rode in the Atom Busters horse club, participated in 4-H and left that legacy with her children and grandchildren and its carried on to this day.

She met and married Bobby Goodson from Galax, VA December 13th 1959 they made their home in Galax welcoming a son Tony in 1960. Patsy missed the farm life and her family so they moved back to the Lost River Valley and added two girls to their family, first Cindy in 1962 and Sandie in 1966. The two later divorced.

She met Dale Smith irrigating across a stretch of fence in Moore, ID in 1972 that began a lifelong friendship that became an inseparable bond and the love of their lives. For the rest of her life he spent every moment with her from working cows, family dinners, they had many adventures up and down the road in that old blue GMC always together, in the end offering her tender loving care every single day and in her final hours he never left her side.

She worked the family ranch known as PU Ranch and at the Golden West and other café’s in town. She started driving school bus and is fondly remembered by many as the best bus driver ever, then went on to driving the INL Site bus for 40 years she also operated other heavy equipment out there and retired in 2010. Never one to stop moving she was always in her garden or on the farm, and could never turn down a chance to feed all her loved ones.

Patsy is survived by her significant other Dale Smith, a sister Helen (Don) Dansie and her daughters Cindy Archer, Sandie(Shawn) Smith. Her granddaughters Jenna Archer, Timber Archer and Wylee Smith, Lexi Gamett, Ashley Curtis, 4 great granddaughters and 6 great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son Tony, her parents John and Nora Techick and a brother Ed Techick and a sister Norine Hult. A niece Teresa Techick and a nephew Terrell Techick also her great nephews Dax Walstrom and Destry Stauffer.Funeral services a will be held Tuesday, November 27th at 1 pm. Family will meet with friends and family from 12pm to 1pm prior to services.  Following the service Interment will be at the Lost River Cemetery.
