Nancy Marie Bell McDonald, 78, passes Saturday, August 10, 2019 in Arco.

Nancy Marie Bell McDonald, 78, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the hospital in Arco, Idaho. She was born on March 21, 1941 in Jerome, Idaho to Willard O. and Gladys K. Bell. She was the third of six children. 

On February 6, 1960 she married Darrell Eugene McDonald. They were blessed with three sons and one daughter. Nancy enjoyed camping and fishing with their children and grandchildren. She liked to play card games, snowmobile, and bowl as well.
She is survived by her husband Darrell, and children: Darrell Lee (Toni) (Arco), Brenda (Rick) Allen (Utah), Casey (Arizona), Eric "Scott" (Kaoru) (Boise); nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and one sister.

Nancy was one of the smartest women in America. An avid reader, she could give you an anatomy lesson while skinning a rabbit, quote Idaho water laws while making a five-course meal and consistently bested her granddaughter in political debates of all kinds. Honest to a fault, Nancy earned a reputation as a no-nonsense lady who was not afraid to say exactly what was on her mind. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.As per Nancy’s request, no public services will be held. Cremation services were cared for by the Anderson Family Funeral Home. Her favorite charities were St. Jude Children’s and the Veteran’s Home in Pocatello.
