Nancy L. (Yancey) Kovacs, 79 of Arco, ID passed away peacefully on January 27, 2020. Nancy was born on April 26, 1940 in Boise, ID to Fern and Blaine Yancey.
She attended Butte County High School and afterwards got married and had three children. Nancy lived a very fulfilling life and was very much devoted to her family and her friends. Throughout her life she spent many of her working years in service-related positions with her main aspiration being to help others in a completely selfless way, which she was in every aspect of her life. Nancy’s dream was to become a nurse and was her granddaughter’s main inspiration in going into the nursing profession, fulfilling both of their life’s passion. Another important aspect of her life was her love of animals which show’s strongly in her other granddaughter who is working in the pet care field.
Nancy was fun-loving and always up for an adventure, having spent a good amount of her younger years traveling the United States. After marrying her late husband, Bob she enjoyed organizing family gatherings including her children and grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was simply going on a picnic to the Mackay Dam and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Nancy is proceeded in death by her parents Blaine and Fern Yancey of Arco, ID and her husband Robert Kovacs of Shreveport, LA.
