Michael Alan “Mickey” King

Michael Alan King, born on August 19, 1956, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the age of 67.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Merle King.  He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Kristy King and their daughter, Shuree Burgoyne (Brent); a sister, Doris Autenrieth (Bob); a brother, John King (Gill); nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Michael grew up and attended school at the Grouse Schoolhouse and Butte County School District, where he graduated in the class of 1974.  He was an operating engineer and surveyor at the INEL for many years.  Michael was the first man to fly off of King Mountain with a hang glider.  He was an EMT, member of the Butte County Civitans, a rancher, golfer, friend to many, loving husband, father and grandfather.  He adored his family and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Moore Community Center, 3353 W. 3155 N., Moore, ID.  Arrangements are under the care of the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Arco.
