Jeannie Diane Robinson, 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Butte City, Idaho on March 26, 2020.
She was born August 16, 1942 in Murray, Utah to Virgil Blaine and Zina Eliza Gibson Cummins. She was the sixth of 11 children. Jeannie spent her childhood in Arco, Idaho where she received her education in the Butte County School System. As a young woman Jeannie moved to California where she attended Cosmetology School. Due to the harsh chemicals she had to get away from the beauty salon where she worked at. She jumped back into school and earned her real estate license. Jeannie also owned and operated several restaurants throughout her life which provided for her family.
She lived in various places all over the United State, and also lived in Germany and France. While living out of the country she developed a passion for the military. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, founded The Troop Boosters which included three branches in Utah and one in Idaho. She welcomed many soldiers home and held numerous rallies in their behalf.
Jeannie was the Chairman of the Republican Party for a long time. She reestablished the 4th of July parades and made sure they continued each year. She was in the NCO Wives Club while in Germany, active in the Lady Lions & the Cancer Society in Arco. She was always ready to volunteer for any charity work that was presented to her.
Some of Jeannie's hobbies were crocheting, knitting, reading or any activity that involved family. She loved coming up with new costumes to dress up in, water fights & group hugs. She loved soup parties (of course hers was always the best), feeding people, and sprinkling love. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Jeannie is survived by her daughters, Sheila, Tonja, Candace and Tia; seven step children; three brothers, Bud, Kent, and Dennis; three sisters, Carolyn, Bitsy, and LeAnne; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her son Guy, parents, Virgil and Zina, three brothers, Blaine, Lyle, Jay and a sister Sharon.
A celebration of Jeannie's life will be held and announced at a later date. Interment in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Arco is under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home.
