Dale D. Bedwell

Dale D. Bedwell, 66, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023, at his home in Arco, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 24, 1956, in Spokane, Washington to Willard Arnold and Deloris Gertrude Taylor Bedwell.  Dale was raised in Monteview, Idaho.  He attended schools in West Jefferson and continued his education at the Vocational College in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  He studied mechanical engineering and used his training his entire life.

Dale enlisted into the United States Army where he was stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado.  Following his honorable discharge he moved to St. Maries, Idaho and worked in the logging industry.

On December 27, 1986, he married Patricia Ann Stanley in Thornton, Colorado.  They made their home back and forth from Colorado to Idaho several times before settling down in Arco, Idaho in 2004.

Dale enjoyed camping, woodworking, and sailing.  He loved and looked forward to their trips to Mexico where he would spend hours sailing in the ocean.  He even bought a sailboat that he could use in the Mackay Reservoir.

Surviving is his wife, Patricia Bedwell, Arco, ID; his children, Michael Bedwell, Idaho Falls, ID, Tisha Kozloff (Mike), Arco, ID and Marlena Bedwell, Arco, ID; his bonus daughter, Jessica Quick, Idaho Falls, ID; his sisters, Paulina Jensen (Sherman) and Julie Edelmeyer (Carl); his brother, Ken Bedwell; six grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, David, George “Tiny”, Gene, Gary, and Willard Bedwell.

In keeping with Dale’s wishes, there will be no public services.  Arrangements were cared for by the Anderson Family Funeral Home.
