Clinton Eddie Sims, 76, of Blackfoot ID, passed away February 15, 2022, at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Clint was born June 17, 1944, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Bud Sims and Bessie Purcell. He grew up and attended schools in Leadore, Idaho, and graduated from Leadore High School.
On March 18, 1968 he married the love of his life Yvonne Detrick in Moore, Idaho. They were blessed with 6 children. Joylynn Sims, Lorie Sollender, Tina Sims, Bradley Sims, Marlene Wilcox, and Kallena Torres.
Clint worked as a bus driver for Idaho National Laboratory, in Idaho Falls. He retired after 42 years of service. He then continued his career driving over the road for 3 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He loved working in the yard, and was a lover of all things outdoors.
Clint is survived by his sweetheart Yvonne Sims of Blackfoot, ID, son Bradley (Erin) Sims of Blackfoot, ID; daughters Lorie (Eric) Sollender, of Idaho Falls, ID, Tina Sims of Idaho Falls, ID, Marlene (Jeremy) Wilcox of Shelley, ID, and Kallena (Joel) Torres of Santa Fe, NM.; 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his little girl Joylynn.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday February 19th, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home in Arco, ID. A viewing will be held for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Lost Rivers Cemetery.
