Camilla “Cammy” Ann Murray

Camilla (Cammy) Ann Murray passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at her home in Arco, doing what she enjoyed, working in the yard. She has been fighting diabetes for the past five years.

Camilla was born in Deadwood, South Dakota on April 22, 1966, to parents Lawrence Henley-Murray and Donna Cammack Murray. She joined her sister, Maria. She grew up in many places as the family moved around, South Dakota, California, Utah, Nevada and Idaho. During her marriage she enjoyed traveling with her husband Fritz on the Harley, going on cruises, trips to Australia and Fiji.

Camilla has worked hard all her life, mostly doing manual labor. She worked for the Town of Genoa, NV for many years, work that was hard but which she enjoyed because it kept her out of doors. She loved animals, especially her horse Cimmeron, and her cat Monkey.

Cammy will be dearly missed by her mother, Donna Murray of Arco, ID, her sister, Maria (Terry) of Nampa, ID, nephews Camron of Nampa, ID and Brandon of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by Uncles Tom Cammack, Arco, ID and Paul Cammack of Moriarty, NM, Aunts Margie Elwood of Cornish, UT, Geri Cammack of Nampa, ID, Nina & Matt Crane of Caldwell, ID, and numerous cousins and many friends.

Camilla was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Henley-Murray, her brother, her maternal and paternal grandparents, Don & LeElla Cammack, Mary & Teo Perez, and several aunts and uncles.

She is now safe in the hands of her Heavenly Father. May she rest in peace.

A Celebration of Cammy’s life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home.  The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Arco, Idaho.

I have so many fond memories of Cammy and her family when she was still a young teenage girl. Living in the same apartment complex, Cammy was the first person to talk to me after moving in.
I remember her as a beautiful blue eyed, blonde girl who was friendly smart and had a sweet spirit about her.
I had not seen her in over 40 years, but the memory of her has never faded.
I am thankful to have known her and her family for that short period of time.
