Ann Karr

Ann Karr, 83, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2023, with family by her side.  She was born July 12th, 1940 in Dedham, Massachusettes to Joseph and Mabel Calhoun.

Ann was a secretary in a shipyard in New Port News, Virginia when she met and married Bob Karr on December 2nd, 1961.

Ann loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She called herself "the cookie jar grandma" since she always kept a full cookie jar on the counter and drinks in the fridge for the grandkids to have without asking because "that's what this grandma does".  Ann loved the Lord and lived her life fully.  She loved to sing and could be heard singing in her house.  She would sing in church services or anytime it was requested.  Ann enjoyed working at the LR Senior Center, making beaded calendars for friends and family for Christmas for years, and would enjoy going to her craft group on Wednesdays to be with her friends.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mabel Calhoun, her husband Bob Karr, her son Mitch Karr and her sister Charlotte Lile.  She is survived by her sister Ella Black, her son Joseph Karr, her daughters Carrie Goffard and JoAnn Craten.  Ann is also survived by seven grandchildren;  Ben and Wyatt Karr, Dan and Jessica Goffard, Sarah and Paulie Craten, and April Ann Karr, along with numerous great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 6-8 pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco, ID, and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023,  at 3 pm at Anderson Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Arco following the service.
